A MORE informative and updated version of a website on the coral reef initiative is now available, the Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality announced yesterday.
The website address is http://cnmicoralreef.com/.
“It is a site where residents can find any information about the CNMI Coral Reef Initiative,” BECQ said.
Ongoing projects and activities can be found on the site such as the recent social marketing campaign to clean up Laolao Bay.
The cross-agency initiative aims to protect and preserve the CNMI’s coral reefs and to ensure the responsible management of the resources associated with those habitats.
The initiative is a partnership that involves BECQ, the Division of Environmental Quality, the Division of Coastal Resources Management, the Division of Fish and Wildlife and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
